Luxury Safari
Luxury Safari
“If one were limited to a single word when defining ‘luxury’ travel, that word would be accommodation.
Where will you put your head to pillow after a day’s touring adventure. Be it on safari, by rail or by private vehicle, there simply are magnificent choices in all regards. Thereafter, one should decide upon joining a group with very limited membership or choose customized travel, with a private driver and guide.
The luxury of a custom tour allows one to choose to spend more or less time at a particular site and to end the day when they so please. Add to that the undivided attention of ones private guide.
“People’s travel aspirations are changing, and this is true throughout the market. The new definition of luxury is no longer a 6-star hotel with flunkeys and banquets and ever more exquisite spas, but is an experience created for your own personal preferences that combines enrichment, enjoyment and education, with the time to appreciate your surroundings at a price that represents value for money.
Core Elements of a Luxury Safari
Private Guiding & Vehicles: You get your own dedicated expert guide, tracker, and safari vehicle, letting you set your own schedule
High-End Accommodations: Stay in boutique lodges, treehouses, or ultra-private tented suites featuring king beds, indoor-outdoor showers, private hot tubs, and plunge pools.
Gourmet Dining & Fine Wine: Enjoy multi-course chef-prepared meals, private bush breakfasts, sundowner cocktails, and fine wine cellars in the middle of the wilderness.
Exclusive Activities: Access hot air balloon rides over the plains, night game drives, guided walking safaris, and private helicopter tours
The spacious Luxury Suites each accommodate two guests in either king or twin configurations. Every suite features a generously appointed en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath, indoor and outdoor showers, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and a private viewing deck overlooking the surrounding wilderness.
Each suite also offers an enhanced in-room beverage selection, including a coffee machine and a fully stocked minibar for added comfort and convenience. Two of the Luxury Suites are family-friendly and can accommodate up to two rollaway beds, making them ideal for families with children under the age of 12. These suites comfortably sleep up to four guests and feature the same facilities and amenities as the standard Luxury Suites.
When people hear the words “luxury African safari,” they often imagine a beautiful lodge, a private room, delicious food, and wildlife right outside the door. That is certainly part of it. However, a luxury safari is about much more than where you sleep.
A true luxury safari brings together comfortable accommodation, good service, experienced guides, well-planned transportation, excellent wildlife experiences, and enough time to actually enjoy your surroundings. It can also mean more privacy and flexibility than you would normally get on a standard group safari.
As guided safari tour providers, we believe luxury should not feel complicated or overdone. It should simply make your safari more comfortable, personal, and enjoyable while keeping the focus on Africa’s incredible wildlife and landscapes.
The important thing is that luxury is not defined by one feature. A beautiful room alone does not make a safari luxurious. The quality of the guiding, location, privacy, service, food, transportation, and overall planning all play a role.
Luxury safari accommodation can include lodges, permanent camps, tented camps, and private villas. Don’t let the word “tented” fool you. A luxury tented camp can offer a proper bed, private bathroom facilities, comfortable living space, good meals, and attentive service while still giving you that wonderful feeling of being in the middle of the wilderness.
