The Great Migration Marathon Serengeti
The Great Migration Marathon Serengeti, will currently be a half marathon, 10K and 5k fun runs and it will later be advanced to full Marathon run. It is organized by Serengeti Tourism Sports Agency (SETSA) which uses sports to promote tourism along the western side of the Serengeti National Park. This events name comes from one of the biggest events that happens yearly inside the Serengeti National Park where some of the wild beasts migrate between Serengeti and Maasai Mara National Reserve. It is during this time when a large number of tourists visit the Serengeti to witness one of the world’s wonders.
This event will allow participants to not just witness the migration but be part of it by running between the groups of migrating wild animals along the Serengeti National Park. Participants will include both local and foreign, however; there will be special fun runs for local companies, institutions and special groups for special courses.
